Hello everyone!
School's been pretty busy lately with the second wave of midterms over, and only a few more days until our swim team leaves for Los Angeles for our Championship meet of Fall quarter! I managed to squeeze some time in with Michael yesterday, and he had a fantastic time :) Definitely made up for how sad he was the week before.

This time we decided to go on a walk around the Scripps Institute at UCSD, and it was so beautiful! Really sunny and not too cold (it's been a little too chilly for us San Diegans this past week) and a perfect view of the ocean--Michael's favorite!
Michael loves being able to go outside and experiencing new things. As long as they're free of screaming children, Michael's all up for it. It's always really important for us to get him to exercise, since it helps a lot with his digestion issues (many people who have Down Syndrome tend to experience constipation). Since walks are pretty easy and safe to do, it's a fantastic way for Michael to also get more exercise. After we explored around the institute, we walked down by Scripps Pier and looked out at the ocean just for a little bit longer. Once we were on our way home, we stopped by Sprinkles and Michael loved part of his cupcake :)
If you have any questions regarding anything about Michael-- whether it comes down to behavior, what he likes, or even how I feel regarding living with Michael-- feel free to submit a question in the contact form! I'm more than happy to answer any type of question regarding Down Syndrome, Michael, or anything regarding the disabled community.
